COMMUNITIES IN MOVEMENT: urban regeneration project

The “Community on the Move” project is set within Lavezzola, a hamlet of Conselice, an area in which, in recent years, a redevelopment process has been put in place that, however, still has critical issues related to the state of degradation in which some buildings and areas are located, the lack of safe connections between the main points and the incomplete offer of services. The project therefore aims to regenerate this place, a basin of sociality, by improving and enhancing the range of services offered, bringing into synergy and communication the various functions, managers and users of the hub.

The entire design process took into account three intervention strategies, namely, improving accessibility to public places in the area, upgrading and repurposing buildings and areas in a state of disrepair, and finally, adaptation and mitigation to climate change. Thus, various actions have been planned including the rehabilitation of dilapidated buildings, upgrading connections, securing passageways and crossings, creating new amenities, and improving environmental and urban quality; these interventions will trigger a regeneration process that will provide a space built on the needs of the community and serving all and sundry.
