The Urban Implementation Plan (PUA) is located within a subdivision in Osteria Grande, Castel San Pietro Terme (BO). The development of the area with a residential character constitutes the southeastern completion of the hamlet of Osteria Grande but also to the realization of connecting works between the neighboring area to the north and the development of the park to the south to potentially serve future developments and planned amenities south of the built-up area such as the school and park along the river Quaderna. In this context, the project is an opportunity to conclude and delimit the hamlet’s building expansion with a necessary focus on the hillside views to the south and east. For this reason, the design choices are aimed at favoring the unbuildability constraints of the strip to the east of the Ecological Environmental Endowments with a propensity for low building with wide permeability and ample green endowment to the south.

Some attention has also been paid to the design of the road axis, allowing for the coexistence of a green infrastructure connecting the center of the hamlet with continuous plantings and green areas, accompanying the path within the park along the Quaderna River to the south with a view to encouraging sustainable mobility.
